10 Jun What Are Your Expectations From Your Closet Company?
Nowadays there is so much competition for the consumer’s budget, you have to keep in mind just what you’re getting when you sign up to have a project done in your home. It’s not just how much you spend, it’s a matter of what you’re getting for your investment.
First of all, in our business, you have to compare apples with apples just like when you’re purchasing a new car or appliances.
When we make closets, pantries or a nice built-in, we use consistently 3/4” LPL board. This board is a heavier weight and density than foreign-made board. As well, the finish is water-resistant and lastly, the board is made in Ontario. Off-gassing is not a problem in our locally made product as well it doesn’t contain various harmful chemicals again found in most foreign-made products such as sulfur and formaldehyde. Not sure how you feel, but I feel my health and that of my family is much more important than how much money I saved.
On the notion of comparison still, keep in mind that our company makes custom-made cabinetry that is designed to fit into your home perfectly. It is almost impossible to compare that to imports that are made in the thousands and not customized to fit in your home or suit your specific needs. Custom cabinetry not only enhances your home’s beauty but over all resale value as well as usefulness.
During an in-home consultation, it is always important to listen to the client. Clients live in their home and know usually exactly what they’re looking for. However, since we are in the business of creating custom cabinetry every day, we are always willing to offer insights that most home-owners might not be aware of or consider. Two-way communication is indeed a great asset when working with a closet company.
I have to wonder, if you’re only worried about price then perhaps you’re really not ready for custom made. Most students have limited budgets when first setting up their dorm and much is the same consideration for newlyweds. However, if you’re investing in your home, your future and its overall value, buying poorly made imports is not just a waste of effort but also of funds.
Other thoughts you should consider, are what kind of experience and longevity does the company have you’re pondering on? If someone has been in the business for thirty years, they obviously know their business and consistently produce happy customers. And we love making our customers happy and satisfied!
